Senior QA Engineer (IoT)

Purpose

This role manages testing activities of products or solutions to ensure that the quality is compliant with standards and to meet customer requirements.

Key Missions

  • Develops, prepares and executes test plans, procedures and schedules
  • Plans and conducts testing including using programming languages for test automation
  • Includes the test plan automated as much as possible in the CI/CD chain
  • Performs analysis of test results
  • Reports incidents during test execution and tracks them until closure
  • Performs regression and ad-hoc testing depending on changes
  • Ensures requirements are fully covered by tests
  • Contributes and validates documentations as per project deliveries (configuration, users’ guides, etc.)
  • Describes, plans and executes autonomously complex tests (automation, manual, etc.) including definition and implementation of procedures

    Our project:

    Our goal is to develop a product that integrates with the ecosystem of various eSIM services. We provide an "entry point" that is a consistent and comprehensive set of services that enable the customer easily and transparently manage his eSIM devices. Our clients include mobile network operators, car manufacturers, payment terminal providers and many others.

    From a technical point of view, we put a lot of effort into 3 elements:

    • code quality - code review culture, static code analysis, various types of tests,
    • automation - CI with code scans and automatic tests,
    • everything as code - infrastructure as code, tests as code, and even code as code.

    As a team, we place great emphasis on sharing knowledge. We try to be as multifunctional as possible. In addition to your standard duties, you will take part in the requirements analysis, design and implement test scenarios, support developers and many more.

     

    Necessary on this position:

    • theoretical and practical knowledge of quality assurance processes,
    • experience in working with requirements, preparing test plans, test scenarios, test cases,
    • experience in backend testing,
    • experience in test automation (Java/Kotlin),
    • knowledge of BDD test tools/frameworks (e.g. JGiven),

     

    Nice to have:

    • experience with API (REST/SOAP),
    • basic knowledge about MySQL, Maria DB,
    • basic knowledge about Docker/Kubernetes,
    • basic knowledge about Azure cloud,
    • working experience with tools: IntelliJ, Curl, Postman, Jira, Confluence,
    • Jenkins, CI/CD, pipelines,
    • Agile / SCRUM,

     

    Responsibilities:

    Ensure the product quality on the highest level by:

    • designing and performing functional tests,
    • designing and conducting E2E tests,
    • taking part in non-functional tests preparation and performance,
    • preparing and maintaining the required tests related documentation.
