Purpose
This role protects IDEMIA by ensuring compliance with laws and contributes to IDEMIA value creation by providing legal advice in support of business decisions and operations
Key Missions
Covers all areas of law relevant for IDEMIA and/or the division and includes the following:
Structures, drafts, negotiates, and processes approval contracts, letters of agreement, policies, and other legal documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, corporate, compliance, and operational matters
Provides legal advice and risk assessments to internal stakeholders
Defines litigation strategy and budget. Engages and manages external legal counsels in litigations and other disputes
Engages and manages external legal counsels as required
Communicates and negotiates with external parties (Regulators, Public authorities...)
Develops legal, contractual, governance, and compliance processes, standards, tools, guidelines, and policies
Monitors law and regulations developments, analyzes impacts, and recommends changes where necessary (agreements, policies, bylaws�) and supports the implementation of changes
Supports training of internal client organizations by continuous knowledge-sharing and coaching regarding IDEMIA governance and policies, as well as key legal/ethics and compliance/contract issues that impact the business
Examines business operations and behaviors to alert of any potential failure of compliance or regulatory breach
May include issuing and ensuring compliance of the organization to governance policies
May manage corporate secretarial matters for IDEMIA's and Divisions' legal entitiesNegotiates medium-complex contracts
Acts as the first line of support to business stakeholders
Trains stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
Develops a subject matter expertise
Guides and performs knowledge transfer to less experienced team members
