Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer based at Bucharest, Romania.
Data Centers are playing a key role in Idemia’s business and we are currently looking for a new colleague to join the IT department and support us in designing, standardizing, implementing, automating and operating our Data Center Network Infrastructure.
Purpose
Key Missions
As member of the Network Security team, this role will participate in the key missions of the team:
- Responds to the day-to-day business needs according with priorities and procedures as defined by the supervisor
- Troubleshoots problem source through discussions with users and coordinates with internal organization support and operations groups and with vendors to resolve problems
- Stays up-to-date on information technology and aligns it with IDEMIA and Divisions' technology strategy
- Acquires, installs and upgrades IT components, licensing and software, and manages inventory
- Ensures to follow governance model and processes (change management, root cause analysis, documentation, etc.)
- Creates and maintains documentation related to their activities
- Ensures and supports Division standards about safety and security as well as industry and legal regulations
- Participate in service availibity according to business requirements (this may include defining redundancy, backup implementation, having on-call duty)
- Proposes improvement projects and evaluates costs in alignment with local business needs and report properly
- Ensures processes are properly deployed and used during all activities
- Those activities include acting of a secure environnement which requires on-premises work and on-call activity outside of business hours.
The key activities of this position include:
- Assist and supervise activities done by the visitors of the datacenters.
- Configuration of switches, routers, BGP Routers, Firewalls, WAFs etc…
- Test, install and update firmware upgrades of all network devices
- Define, implement good practice in network security configuration and design
- Proactively and promptly identify and assist to resolve any relevant key issues and/or risks.
- Assist support staff (other IT teams) as required in order to meet deadlines and Idemia customers support priorities: help in troubleshooting, defining solutions, explaining technologies
- Share skills and experience with other groups within the organization, with the aim of establishing consistency and improving quality within the company.
- Manage documentation of configuration in Confluence/repository and keep it up to date
Profile & Other Information
The expected profil is a recently graduated engineer with a previous initial experience.
The candidate must have serious notions of implication of security certifications like GSMA or PCI, and must have a ITIL experience.
The candidate must have worked (under supervision or in autonomy) on:
- Cisco Firepower managed by a Cisco FMC
- Splunk appliance (for log investigations)
- Load Balancer: one of Kemp LoadMaster of F5 Big IP
The candidate should have worked (under supervsion) on:
- Algosec Firemon applicance
- Aruba Wifi (including Mobility Master)
- Aruba Switches (AOS series like 2930 and AOS-CX series)
- Cisco ASA
- Juniper JunOS SRX and Juniper Switches
- Fortigate Firewall
- PaloAlto Firewall
Autonomy on previous topic will be valued.
As IDEMIA is a global company, verbal and written fluent English is mandatory. The candidate should have good skill in communication.
