Purpose

This role is responsible for addressing all IDEMIA IT related issues in accordance with the relevant service-level agreements and cooperating with technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Missions

  • Solves and documents Level 1 and sometimes Level 2 IT needs of users and productive operations associated with a ticket
  • Supports the installation and maintenance of operating systems, software and applications within the right standards and processes
  • Manages communication with internal and external customer from the point of raising request to the resolution in partnership with other departments
  • Assists external providers or vendors during certain IT activities and ensures they work in compliance with the company standards
  • Manages IT assets (computer and communications equipment, servers, and licenses)
  • Manages and coordinates access to IT tools while ensuring compliance with security standards
  • Gives support to the server infrastructure, virtualization, communications, and security to guarantee its availability
  • Contributes to IT Strategy definition
  • Liaises with internal customers to ensure service is in line with business needs
  • Manages an IT Team and ensures that the IT strategy and processes are properly followed by the team
  • Profile & Other Information

    We are looking for a Senior VMware & Infrastructure Administrator with 5–8 years of experience in enterprise environments.
    The ideal candidate is a VMware specialist with strong Linux and Windows administration skills, capable of supporting and improving critical infrastructure platforms. Beyond day-to-day operations, they should be comfortable handling complex technical issues, automation initiatives, and infrastructure improvement projects.
    This position is primarily focused on Operations / Run activities (L1/L2/L3 support).

     

    Required Skills
    •    Strong experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter and ESXi.
    •    Good administration knowledge of Linux and Windows Server.
    •    Hands-on experience with enterprise Storage technologies (SAN, NAS, vSAN).
    •    Hands-on experience with Backup and Recovery solutions (Veeam, Commvault).
    •    Good understanding of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts.
    •    Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
    •    Scripting and automation skills (Ansible).
    •    Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
     

    Bonus Skills
    •    Experience with CI/CD tools and practices (GitLab CI, Jenkins).
    •    Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
    •    Experience automating infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ansible.

     

    The role is a short term contract for 2 years (replacement due to parental leave).
