Purpose

This role defines the cybersecurity strategy to address business challenges as well as legal and regulatory requirements and implements it across the organization.

 

As a Cybersecurity Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple facets of cybersecurity, actively participating in the full DevSecOps lifecycle, including planning, coding, building, testing, releasing, delivering, operating, and monitoring secure software solutions.

Key Missions

  • Support the Security Architect in defining and implementing product security architecture and best practices
  • Conduct technical risk analysis, including asset and threat identification, risk assessment, code review (high-level overview), and identification of appropriate countermeasures
  • Monitor and update risk mitigation efforts in alignment with DevSecOps activities such as remediations, static application security testing (SAST), commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software evaluations, audits, and penetration testing
  • Review solution architectures and design documents to ensure security compliance and robustness
  • Provide technical support related to security architecture, vulnerability resolution, CVE analysis, and emerging security technologies
  • Assist in assessing project compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, OWASP ASVS)
  • Participate actively in project team activities, including launch reviews, preliminary and detailed design reviews, and Agile sprint planning sessions
  • Conduct threat analysis and contribute to the implementation of cyber defense strategies
  • Identify, analyze, and report security vulnerabilities in real-world systems
  • Support the design and deployment of security protection mechanisms and solutions
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote cybersecurity awareness and adherence to best practices across the organization

Profile & Other Information

  • Final-year student in engineering, computer science, or a related field with a specialization in cybersecurity
  • Strong knowledge of system, network, and application security
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Wireshark, Metasploit, NexusIQ, Sonar, NVD, NIST, …)
  • Analytical mindset, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in English
