Production Shift Management 2

Purpose

This role oversees and organizes all production operations activities across multiple production areas.

Key Missions

  • Leads team members in Production environment (including warehouse, vault, production quality control, dispatch, inventory) to implement production safely, efficiently, and accurately based on safety regulations, standard operating procedures, checklists, quality standards, production plans, etc.
  • Assists with the implementation of lean methodology and health, safety, and environment practices
  • Communicates with team members on all issues
  • Provides performance evaluation inputs to the supervisor
  • Prepares work schedules and assigns workers production line tasks and machine planning as per dispatch planned
  • Trains and supervises new team members to ensure process adherence via training materials like SOP, WI, or on-the-job training to implement customer requirements
  • Coordinates with other departments regarding other activities to ensure production flow
  • Supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees
  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
  • Faces problems that may be difficult but typically not complex
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports and stakeholders
