Apprentice R&D Controller

Purpose

You will assist the Head of Financial Control R&D, responsible for controlling at the global level of the R&D division (€50m Gross R&D, ~500 employees, €5m CAPEX).

Key Missions

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for the scopes on OPEX, headcount, provisions, and Capex.
  • Conduct systematic checks – integrity and qualitative checks – on the P&L, the Balance Sheet, and KPIs (compared to the budget, last year, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the Business units of the division, for which IST R&D works and recharges costs (hours * daily rate). Drive the amounts recharged to the Business units (project view, hourly rate calculation), and develop a forward-looking view.
  • Ensure the proper passage of financial items in the accounts (analytical, capitalization of projects, external services, order tracking and receipt).
  • Assist in the requested work of the auditors during the semi-annual and annual reviews.
  • Participate in the budgeting process for the scope at the global level, in relation to regions/countries, as well as updating forecasts.

 

Requirements:

  • fluent French, communicative English - recruitment process partially in English,
  • MS Excel skills as a must have, Power BI and Power Automate as an asset,
  • not afraid of asking, when something is not clear, open in communication
  • familiar with working with huge base of data (or at least not afraid of),
  • well-organized and proactive
