Purpose

This role ensures on-time and proper payments to employees, and is compliant at every phase

Key Missions

  • Calculates gross and net pay amounts (e.g., salary, overtime, shift payments, sales commissions, bonuses, deferred compensation, benefits, deductions, payroll liabilities, etc.)
  • Is in charge of Payroll-specific records maintenance (changes in wage/salary rates, insurance, mandatory deductions), new hires, terminations, leave or absenteeism, etc.)
  • Verifies and administers Payroll data
  • Monitors and manages the compliance of payroll legislation
  • Answers questions from employees and supervisors regarding payroll matters
  • May maintain records on vacations, sick leave, etc as per the regional policy
  • Is responsible for providing inputs for payouts (Full and Final settlements, salary, any salary advance)
  • Provides inputs for internal/external audits;
  • Liaises with internal stakeholders i.e. Legal, Finance, HR Ops, and HBP
  • Ensures that the system and teams adhere to the legal requirements/ company policies, as per the regional laws
  • Participates in or may lead projects related to his/her activity
  • Understands the complex payroll concepts, is good in Microsoft Excel and calculations
  • Prepares and reviews Payments data
  • Participates in or may lead projects related to his/ her activity
