Purpose
Support the Intellectual Property department of IDEMIA's IST entity in the management of data and activities related to IDEMIA's IST entity patent portfolio.
Key Missions
The main activities of the mission will be as follows:
- Become familiar with the basic principles of patents;
- Operation and administration of a patent database: Getting to grips with the web user interface, updating the patent portfolio's mass data, data Extract/Transform/Load (ETL), developing VBA macros/tools, automating specific processes linked to different stages of a patent's life or importing specific patent data, implementation of pre-formatted e-mail templates and automation of their delivery to our patent management web user interface (SQL queries, data formatting/presentation via HTML layer), implementation of specific SQL query sets for retrieval of specific data;
- Design and development of new applications: Development of software tools and/or automatic routines to meet the needs of IDEMIA's IST IP department for patent data processing or patent life-cycle tasks;
- Collecting, analysing and synthesising patent data with a view to processing and using it: Extract/Transform/Load requiring data collection. Thinking about organising and cutting out the steps of the process;
- Analysing and interpreting the results produced by running a program: Analysis of the results obtained from using patent data;
- Documentation of the implementation of a technical solution: Routine for archiving results (files, data, etc.) and documentation of the activity (problem to be solved, means of resolution implemented, details of problems encountered requiring specific action (parameterisation, implementation, etc.)
Profile & Other Information
- VBA language to develop and update internal tools;
- ETL aspects : Extract Transform Load (extraction data from our patent database (report), transformation the extracted data into a suitable or needed format, loading into the database the computed format and/or additional data related to);
- Administration of database through software package (interface of our patent database solution), creation of new functions, linked to our patent portfolio;
- SQL queries, Oracle database;
- Automation of repetitive tasks;
- Excel file manipulation, macro, VBA programming;
- Algorithmy, object development language, data formatting, HTML;
