Purpose

This role ensures a good relationship with the Unions and employee representatives and maintains a good social climate, compliant with the laws.

Key Missions

  • Presents with the Work Council Business and HR initiatives
  • Maintains a good relationship with the Work Council, consults with them and implements actions if needed
  • Conveys in employee representative forum in case of changes in the employment terms
  • Manages employee relations matters (e.g., employee engagement, investigating employee and/or supervisor complaints regarding conduct, performance, or attendance, mediation between employees, monitoring diversity/equal employment opportunity program compliance, etc.)
  • Negotiates and administrates the Labor/Union agreement (e.g., representing the organization in negotiations, interpreting and administering union/labor collective bargaining agreements, monitoring compliance and participating in arbitration, etc.)
  • Collaborates with the Finance team to get directions
  • Upskills the Management team to create awareness of disputes, ensuring labor laws and compliance
  • Reviews disciplinary decisions before implementation
  • Ensures regional/global compliance from a labor relation perspective
  • Maintains the employee relations dashboard and shares it with key stakeholders.
