Global Suppliers Quality Engineer

Purpose

This role aims at optimizing and monitoring the quality level of supplies by having the objective to maximize customer satisfaction as well as IDEMIA's performance.

To succeed in this mission, the Global Suppliers Quality Engineer needs to build collaborative links internally with Quality department from our production sites dispatched in various countries, R&D, Engineering, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality Business Units, Corporate social responsibility department internally and externally with our worldwide suppliers.
 

Key Missions

1. Supplier Quality Qualification

  • Quality representative responsible for ensuring that all new/ potential suppliers are assessed against the relevant selection procedures and fully meet internal standards
  • Ensure that potential suppliers have the necessary skills and measuring equipment competencies to provide us conforming products
  • Provide along with SQA NPI quality appendix and quality commitment
  • Review with SQA NPI Quality specification, cosmetic criteria’s and our internal incoming inspections instructions
  • Perform suppliers qualification audits

 

2. New product Introduction support

  • Support SQA NPI in each milestone until handover: getting control plan, FAI, cosmetic book agreement

 

3. Suppliers Quality monitoring and reporting

  • Plan and monitor appropriate actions (audits, scorecards, attend and contribute for Quality to Suppliers Performance Review, according to internal procedure) and measure quality supplier performance level
  • Control processing system anomalies, processes and products (CAR, Non-conformities and concession products)
  • Decide on supplier concessions post-analysis
  • Ensure effective actions at supplier and internally
  • Measure effectiveness post-action
  • Manage crisis situations
  • Ensure tier 2 supplier control
  • Ensure supplier self-inspection
  • Ensure proper incoming plant inspections
  • Supply evidence for non-quality cost flow
  • Participating in Lessons learned following supplier none quality events
  • Inform SQA, Quality, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and R&D about issues and actions
  • Reports activity, manages indicators

 

4. Coordination and support to IDEMIA plants (and / or more generally internal customers)

  • Review KPI and 8D from IDEMIA Suppliers Quality Assurance departments if escalation is needed
  • Ensure coordination between corporate and local level
  • Non conformances

 

5. Contribute to leverage non IATF supplier QMS with action plan to IATF

  • Supplier risk and gap analysis versus IATF requirements
  • AQP.pp adaptation versus supplier maturity level, follow up
  • Manage risk list for automotive BOM 
  • IMDS database management (supplier level)
  • Build and enrich RETEX/LLC for Automotive components

 

6. Contribute to continuous improvement carbon emission reduction programs

  • Proposes good practices
  • Manage return of Experience
  • Steer SQA improvement plan for existing products and suppliers
  • Support, investigate, measure and benchmark carbon emission initiative at suppliers
  • Contribute to IDEMIA program to measure and decrease carbon emission

  • Engineering/ manufacturing (bachelor or master degree)
  • At least seven years of experience in quality (manufacturing, engineering or suppliers)
  • International environment
  • fluent English

 

Team is based in La Défense. Regular travels for sites and global suppliers visits (once a month) are expected
