Purpose

The global backlog and planning manager is a key role inside the operation planning and oversees the activities of all our facilities around the world. This position is part of a dynamic team of seven highly skills professionals that are orchestrating the resources of the company in order to optimize production and customer satisfaction while insuring best possible financial performance.

Key Missions

  • Participate and contribute to the SOP and Budget processes in regards to forecast and capacity evolution
  • Analyse weekly order intake and manage order book with production sites and business unit teams
  • Manage potential risks and support production sites to establish mitigation actions
  • Coordinate with other supply chain functions (procurement, stock, transport, custom,…), production sites supply chain teams and sales teams in order to achieve OTD targets, sites loading and costs
  • Manages all aspects of the planning process from forecast receipt and customer requirements through to production requirements to achieve set plan and manage the internal communication about production status and service-level agreements achievement
  • Analyzes and interpretes customer forecasts
  • Analyzes historical trends
  • Consolidate SLA of each facilities and communicate to business teams
  • Facilitate weekly supply chain highlights meeting with management related to operational and planning performance and present results to management during steering committees
  • Develop and maintain standard global supply chain tools and support production sites with their tools
  • Participate actively in master data management in regards to planning key datas
  • Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence and systems improvement roadmap
  • Participate and/or lead transversal projects to support business cases
  • Researches, evaluates, and recommends changes to production processes, systems, technology or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities
