Internship - Software Developer AI

Purpose
As part of this internship, the candidate will contribute to improving an AI system based on RAG by analyzing the existing architecture, testing new models (embeddings, LLMs) in an on-premise environment, and optimizing semantic search to improve the relevance of responses.
The position is based at our La Défense site (92), with occasional visits to the Osny site (95).
Key Missions
- Study and understand the current architecture of the RAG pipeline (data ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and generation).
- Test and compare different open-source embedding models and LLMs to improve search and response quality.
- Experiment with different information retrieval strategies (vector search, hybrid search, reranking).
- Analyze performance (response relevance, latency, GPU consumption) and propose improvements to optimize the existing RAG system.
Profile & Other Information
- You are currently studying in an engineering program or equivalent.
- You have development skills (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and basic knowledge of Linux.
- You have good communication skills and are able to be clear and concise.
- You are curious and willing to work autonomously.
