Key Missions

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Within the Payment Services Business Unit of IDEMIA Secure Transactions (IST), under the management of the Payment Market Intelligence responsible based in Paris, you will:

  • Support the development and enhancement of the market & business intelligence team.
  • Conduct strategic analysis and communicate key insights on industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to relevant IDEMIA teams.
  • Develop an understanding of emerging payment technologies and contribute to strategic cross-thinking inputs, helping IST Payment Services BU design customer-centric next-generation payment offerings.
     

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor the market through research, external reports, and interactions with market analysts & industry stakeholders.
  • Animate an internal experts network (sales, products & offering managers, marketing & innovation, regional interfaces, etc.) to gather insights on market trends, competitors, and customer expectations.
  • Analyze competitor activities and track market shares to provide updates on IDEMIA’s positioning, support tenders, and feed regional strategies.
  • Conduct analysis with offering & marketing managers to support product development and strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with payment network account managers to help them understand the strategic direction of key players (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) and assess their impact on IDEMIA’s developments.
  • Support the Strategic Account team by providing customer-specific data and insights on infrastructure, digital readiness, and partnerships.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for senior leadership meetings on critical payment industry topics.
  • Communicate market analysis and insights internally via articles, webinars, and the Market Intelligence database.
  • Support communication and marketing teams by contributing to white papers, presentations, external webinars, and thought leadership documents.
     

JOB REQUIREMENTS


Skills/aptitude

  • Team player with strong relationship-building skills across all levels of an international organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with effective presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and structured mindset, able to synthesize while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Curious about technology, market evolution, and new subjects.
  • Ability to manage several projects in parallel.


Experience required

  • Effective communicator, including towards C-level interfaces.
  • Experience in strategic marketing, market intelligence, or consulting.
  • Preferably familiar with the payment ecosystem and banking sector.
  • Experience with a payment ecosystem actor would be a plus.


Education/professional qualifications

  • Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.
