Physical Security Specialist & Local Security Officer

Purpose

As part of a newly created role, you will join our Security team. This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible contribution to protecting our employees and premises, while supporting broader security projects. During the first few months of your fixed-term contract, your priority will be to ensure the security of our Courbevoie site. As business needs evolve, your scope may expand to include physical security specialist responsibilities, supporting IDEMIA sites worldwide.

Missions

As the Security and Safety Lead for our global headquarters, you will help ensure a safe and compliant working environment. You will oversee security, health and safety activities on site, working closely with the relevant teams and partners.

  • Security governance and compliance: implement security procedures, assess risks, ensure compliance with applicable requirements, and monitor action plans and performance indicators.
  • Physical security operations: ensure the effective operation, maintenance and improvement of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems.
  • Stakeholder coordination: advise the Site Manager, collaborate with internal teams and local authorities, and oversee external service providers
  • Incident management and resilience: coordinate incident response, investigations and reporting, and prepare the site for emergency situations.
  • Access management and security awareness: oversee employee access badges and permissions, and raise security awareness among employees and contractors.
  • Health and safety support: contribute to occupational risk assessments, preventive action plans, accident monitoring and the development of emergency procedures.

Once you are fully established in your site security responsibilities, your scope may expand to include international assignments, depending on operational priorities.

  • Security standards deployment: support sites in implementing Group security standards.
  • Technical security architecture: provide advice on access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance solutions.
  • Continuous improvement: improve procedures and practices by incorporating lessons learned.
  • Security by Design: integrate security requirements from the outset of projects.
  • Physical security measures: support the implementation of protective measures and incident management arrangements.

Profile & Other Information

Education and Experience

  • A master’s degree in security, risk management or engineering, or equivalent professional experience. A degree is not mandatory.
  • Three to five years of experience in physical security, site security or risk management, including hands-on operational experience.

Essential Skills 

  • Sound knowledge of access control, video surveillance and intrusion detection systems.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, incident management and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate internal teams and service providers, and monitor performance indicators and action plans.
  • Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with biometric access control systems or knowledge of MorphoManager.
  • Experience in an international or multi-site environment
