Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Travel &Transport Purchasing, the Program Purchasing leader is responsible for strategic and tactical purchasing activities for Travel & Transport Programs across regions.

As program / Project purchasing leader you will be able to navigate in a high technology environment (in Hardware and Software) with expert team in Idemia and in suppliers. You will have the opportunity to work in a very international environment (customer, suppliers and Idemia have global footprints).

In this role, you will be the key-interface between category purchasers, suppliers, R&D, SQA, pre-sales and program teams. You can also play a strong role in category management when specialization would be required (Gate, kiosk, enrollment solutions..)

Key Missions

 

  • Ensures complete understanding of the Projects / Programs strategy, objectives, and needs
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between the Procurement activity and the Projects / Programs objectives
  • Supports the Pre-Sales team in quotations through costing and negotiate back-to-back terms
  • Develops or supports category strategies that enhance innovation and quality, reduce costs and improve service to internal stakeholders
  • Source suppliers and work with internal customers on the supplier selection
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to advise on the make/buy strategy (TCO approach)
  • Ensures deep and continuous relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth contract implementation, identify further business opportunities and anticipate risks
  • Challenges needs, conducts RFI/RFQ, negotiates cost-effective agreements with suppliers that result in delivering the agreed budget and providing a competitive advantage for IDEMIA
  • Contributes to the Design To Cost activity and cooperates with R&D to realize supplier-enabled innovation
  • Negotiates and ensures the effective execution of the contracts
