Key Missions
This role manages inventory accuracy and performs complex analytics and statistical modelling on large data sets to optimize supply chain operations workflow, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
- Administers strategies meant to optimize organizational capacity and support organizational business objectives
- Collects data and prepares analyses forecasting demand or predicting inventory needs
- Works with Excel data where the data being processed comes from multiple sources
- Collaborates with leadership on identifying and implementing efficiency or performance improvements
- Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
- Investigates problems, finds root causes, and develops solutions
- Develops periodic performance reports and distributes them to stakeholders
- Monitors performance KPIs for compliance and reporting
- Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Coordinates updating daily, weekly, monthly dashboards and scorecards
- Manipulates and extrapolates that Supply Chain Data
- Owns responsibility for identifying and tracking resource consumption
- Analyzes and makes recommendations for inventory re-order points for shortages, overages, or other issues
- Updates weekly and ad-hoc reporting to ensure accuracy of inventory, costs, destination, or other customer needs
- Partners with other Supply Chain team members and leadership to investigate problems and develop solutions to maintain an efficient supply chain
- Owns accountability for the management of two or more functions within the logistics remit and ensuring the required compliance and regulations of the organization are met including the management of and participation in audit processes including financial performance
- Manages two or more logistics teams in terms of people management, including annual performance review, departmental staffing, employee discipline and moral
- Manages other managers or team leaders
- Owns responsibility for the identification, facilitation and implementation of improvements to methods, procedures and standards to improve the quality of output of logistics functions
- Proposes or controls and facilitates organisational changes within the logistics function as required
- Defines training requirements for logistics teams and monitors training progress utilising skills matrix to ensure teams are cross-trained to ensure flexibility according to business and function requirements
- Owns responsibility for leading and supporting team members� aspirations within the organization
