Purpose

Technical consultant plays the role of interface between Customers and IDEMIA by providing professional technical support related to IDEMIA Products, Solutions and Services.

He/she needs to have the confidence and capacity to be customer facing in order to provide professional pre and post-sales Consultation for the implementation of company’s payment solutions and personalization services.

Planning, overseeing and leading projects from ideation through to completion. This role requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. As a Technical Consultant, candidate will be responsible for developing detailed project plans ensuring Implementation and delivery of project on time within budget and scope.

Candidate will be working closely with regional sales, BU directors, product line, solutions team, customers, schemes and various stakeholders to ensure the delivery of products and services in an efficient manner.

Key Missions

•    Act as first point of contact for Customer for all of their Technical queries, requirements, change request, Projects, and New Initiatives.
•    Work collaboratively with customers, Business, Product line, Schemes, Operations team and various stakeholders within and outside the organization.
•    Ensure delivery of company’s payment solutions, Products and personalization services in an efficient and timely manner.
•    Demonstrate Strong domain expertise in the area of EMV Card Issuance and Payment Schemes (VISA/MasterCard/UPI etc.) standards.
•    Provide consultancy on payment scheme rules, regulatory mandates, and market practices, supporting implementations across Domestic Schemes (Jaywan, Maal etc.) ensuring smooth adoption and compliance
•    Facilitate the end-to-end Chip Personalization operations (Chip Card Profile, Data Preparation, HSM Cryptography and Scheme Certification) on Personalization System.
•    Performing Project Specification, Processes Improvement, Quality Assurance, Project Deployment, Post Deployment monitoring.
•    Act as the primary POC for incident and change request management at partner personalization sites, coordinating with customers and internal stakeholders to define scope, assess effort/costs in line with contractual terms, and ensure SLA-compliant delivery and incident resolution.
•    Create and maintain project management plans and overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
•    Work closely with Global and Product Teams to design and introduce new products and solutions and cascade the same to local teams.
•    Provide consulting services, lead workshops and training sessions for External as well as Internal Teams.
•    Keeping up with the Organization Roadmap and provide the respective updates and products to customers including Presales support to Business Team.
•    Assist customers in choosing the right products & technology according to their needs, market drivers and company strategy.
•    Collaborate with Schemes to avail the services like Certifications, CNS, and Variance.
•    Key Management: Assist Customer in addressing all of their requirements pertaining to EMV Key management. 
•    Communicate with internal and external teams for Key management activities like Request and setup of Digital Certificates, Exchange and setup of Symmetric keys etc.
•    Comply with the use and integration of company standard tools and processes.
•    Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive staff
•    Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
•    Should be able to foresee potential risks and prepare mitigation plans 

Profile & Other Information

Experience: 6-8 years of relevant experience in the specific industry

Education Level: Bachelors or Master’s degree

Educational Program: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant studies

Ideal Candidate should have

•    Technical Knowledge
o    Understanding of global payments environments (back-office, clearing systems, acquiring, issuing, etc.)
o    EMV knowledge including payment scheme specifications, key management and general EMV transaction concept.
o    Knowledge of value added services which can be used in banking environments, i.e. loyalty, PKI.
o    General Knowledge of Scheme (Visa, MC, JCB, etc.) requirements.
o    Knowledge of EMV Chip migration strategies and the impact.
o    EMV/Cryptography/HSM/Key Management/etc.
o    General Knowledge of Schemes (Visa, MC, Amex, UPI, WLA, Jaywan, Maal etc.) requirements.
o    CPV/VPA certification process with schemes. Provide support to customer in generating CPV/VPA profiles.
