As a Test Architect, you will work as part of a team with our Technical Leaders and Head of Architecture and play a crucial role on our team. In doing so, you will work on defining the Test Technology Platforms and support Test Strategies, among other things. 
The ISI Embedded R&D department consists of approximately 50 employees and is in close contact with the Product Line Marketing department on the one hand and with Production Sites and IC Suppliers on the other. The department consists of specialists in the field of developing State-of-the-Art operating systems and applets for Travel and Civil ID documents. There is a good team spirit and a community of experts in various fields. The technologies that are used are state-of-the-art. Besides, the team has a lot of autonomy in the R&D activities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Defines the test strategy related to the validation of the overall software structure, core elements, interfaces (API), technologies (COTS) and properties to meet the criteria of performance, security, quality and risks induced by the requirements and contextual constraints of the software operation
  • Provides expertise in test coverage measurement and test at various architecture levels of the embedded software
  • Serves as technical lead throughout the full software test design and development lifecycle, end-to-end
  • Develops and documents test architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
  • Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on test architecture and test design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
  • Monitors and enforces consistency of test software design and technologies among all components
  • Supports testers on managing technical issues
  • Identifies the technologies to use
  • Defines Test Architecture and contribute to its implementation for simple modules
  • Ensures that non-functional requirements are well tested 
  • Contributes to or validates quotations
  • Shares knowledge and may mentor software testers


What you need to make the difference

  • At least a MSc in Computer Sciences or anything related to this 
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Good communication skills in English 
  • Expert in defining Test Strategies and Test Plans
  • Knowledge of Common Criteria applied to test activities
  • Expert in demonstrating test coverage
  • Software and System Architecture applied to Validation of Embedded Software with various constraints (Footprint, modularity, security, performances)
  • Excellent communications skills, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
  • Team spirit, Problem solving
  • Good knowledge of test methodologies, test tools, test suites

  • Gross salary between €4500,- and €6000,- based on 36-a hour work week; 
  • Annual contract for 36 hours per week with the prospect of permanent employment;
