DevOps Engineer

Purpose
DevSecOps transform requirements into software according to design, to maximize business value and customer satisfaction. He/She must be able to do System integration.
Responsible for developing and executing a Development Operations (DevSecOps) strategy to ensure quality software and infrastructure deployments and overall application health, security and performance.
The candidate participates in the realization of high systems technology in the field of biometrics applied to security, civil ID and/or border control applications.
Key Missions
- Defines and implements architectures CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) process tailored for the team’s environment
- Develops infrastructure to incorporate latest technology best practices, and improve operational performance
- Improves development, deployment and testing to make it as much automated as possible
- Supports teams by sharing knowledge and best practices (including clear documents for complex integration procedures)
- Operates and debugs complex integration processes and environments in autonomy
- Participate in the software architecture (specification analysis, technical studies, technology assessment, etc.),
- Uses programming, scripting, and/or database languages to write software code/script that meet requirements and that optimize software performance
- Supports software testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding software enhancements
- Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing code/script comments, layouts, diagrams and charts
- Will be assigned to work on product development, delivery and maintenance of projects
- Gives training and shares best practices
Profile & Other Information
- At least 5 years’ experience in object-oriented and agile software development
- Experience in writing Design Documentation, Object-Oriented Software Design
- Self-motivated, independent and a good team player
- Able to work under pressure
- Innovative mindset and think-out-of-the-box
- Constructive collaboration, Analytical skills, Problem Solving skills, Curiosity
Technical skills
- Knowledge of scripting and programming language (Java, Javascript, Perl, Bash, Python, Power shell, etc.)
- Knowledge of configuration management tools and languages (Terraform, Ansible, GIT, etc.)
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and architecture
- Basic database knowledge and best practices
- Security awareness
- Windows, GNU/Linux, networking knowledge
- Containerization and orchestration knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Cloud knowledge (Private and Public)
- Knowledge on DevSecOps process and different tools (Jira, Testlink, GIT, etc.)
- CI/CD tools and platforms knowledge (Jenkins, CI/CD as a service, etc.)
- Ideally candidate should be familiar with open source technologies like Kubernetes, kafka, Drools, Elasticstack etc
- Experience in Linux and Windows environment and scripting is compulsory
- Hands-on different development, automation, build and test environments (VScode, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong understanding of software lifecycle (agile, waterfall, etc.)
