SRE Engineer

Purpose

This role is responsible for maintaining the service-level agreement critical production platforms or products and providing automated operations to ensure the service to our clients is always of the best quality.

Key Missions

  • Hardens platforms or products before and after they go live by reviewing their design, security and implementation, tuning configuration as well as developing auxiliary tools and necessary monitoring of critical health indicators.

  • Maintains platforms or products after go live by measuring and monitoring their availability, performance and overall system health.

  • Recovers platforms or products during production incidents to meet targeted service-level agreements.

  • Performs detailed root cause analysis and conduct post-mortem analysis.

  • Seeks proactively for improvements of non-functional requirements and cooperates with development and product teams to improve operational aspects of platforms or products.

  • Participates to the Change Advisory Board and validate readiness, security and maturity of new releases through development, execution and verification of automated smoke test.

  • Supports stakeholders by providing technical expertise when necessary.

  • Develops monitoring including new dashboard and alert implementation and continuous improvement.

  • Supports proactively product design review and collaborates with development teams during product development phase.

  • Communicates with internal stakeholders during planned interventions or changes and outages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and support our global Windows-based production environments (AD, IIS, DNS, etc.).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our eServices applications using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate on and enforce deployment standards and release workflows.
  • Improve site availability, incident response, and root cause analysis practices.
  • Monitor and tune database performance (SQL Server or similar), supporting high-availability services.
  • Support ongoing cloud migration and containerization efforts (Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expand observability practices across systems and apps using Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
  • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development for environment consistency and repeatability.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years in an SRE, systems, or infrastructure engineering role.
  • Strong experience with Windows Server environments (AD, IIS, file systems).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and automation (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Basic understanding of cloud architecture (preferably Azure).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration concepts.
  • Competence in PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
  • Experience with SQL database performance monitoring and optimization.
  • Exposure to monitoring/logging tools and on-call support models.

Preferred/Bonus

  • Experience in payment services, card issuance, or banking tech environments.
  • Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-400, or relevant DevOps/SRE credentials.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks: PCI-DSS, PCI-CPP, ISO 27001.
