Trainee
Purpose
This role ensures on-time, accurate and compliant employee and “HR-related” data and efficiently addresses requests from internal and external stakeholders using this data while driving process efficiency, automation, and employee experience across HR services.
Key Missions
- Maintains employment records (statutory, employee personal and job history, performance, compensation, skills, retirement, and insurance documentation, leave accrual records and details of illness, absences, transfers, and salary progression, etc.) and ensures data accuracy of all data in core HR System including responsibility for data integrity and data privacy compliance.
- Leads the operational implementation of all Employee Lifecycle events including onboarding, internal mobility, and offboarding, with a strong focus on improving employee experience.
- Ensures records and processes comply with company and country legal regulations and proactively monitors upcoming legislative changes impacting HR processes.
- Addresses payroll and employment-related issues (hiring and termination processes and labor law issues, contract renewals and dismissals, trainee programs, expatriates, control/process of retirement, etc.) and partners with payroll to ensure seamless monthly payroll processing.
- Identifies opportunities to drive continuous improvement in processes and procedures.
- Works closely with benefits providers/vendors, Insurance companies, and TPA (Third party Administrator) for smooth settlement of insurance claims (term / medical) and monitors service-level agreements (SLAs) for vendor performance.
- Provides reporting and analysis to management (employee headcount demographics, skills inventory, absenteeism, performance, overtime, attrition, employee turnover) and develops dashboards and trend analyses to support strategic workforce planning.
- Provides reporting required by external agencies (e.g., government agencies, insurance companies, unions, etc.), Compensation & Rewards program administration (e.g., compensation administration, employee benefits administration, etc.) ensuring compliance and accuracy of submissions.
- Identifies and manages HR vendors aligned to the applicable procurement policy requirements including contract renewals, cost optimization, and vendor risk assessments.
- Participates in internal/external HR audits and takes ownership of remediation plans where required.
- Maintains the Employee Handbook, policies, and processes on the intranet and locally ensuring consistent updates and alignment with global policies.
- Provides on-time inputs to the finance team and vendors for various payouts including variable pay, reimbursements, and special incentive programs.
- Collaborates with the Compensation & benefits team, HRBPs, and finance team as well as Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and IT teams to ensure seamless employee service delivery.
