Purpose

Position Overview: The Program Purchasing Manager to manage the procurement of IT HW components and systems for our projects/programs. This role requires a deep understanding of IT hardware, market trends, and supplier management to ensure that our organization secures the best products at competitive prices while meeting project timelines and budget constraints.

Roles & responsibilities


For the programs and tenders under his/her responsibility, the Program Purchasing leader:
•    Ensures complete understanding of the Programs strategy, objectives, and needs 
•    Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between the Procurement activity and the Programs objectives
•     Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT Infrastructure that align with the organization’s goals and project requirements.
•    Supports the Pre-Sales team in quotations through costing and negotiate back-to-back terms
•    Develops or supports category strategies that enhance innovation and quality, reduce costs and improve service to internal stakeholders
•    Source suppliers and work with internal customers on the suppliers selection
•    Conduct in-depth analyses to advise on the make/buy strategy (TCO approach)
•    Ensures deep and continuous relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth contract implementation, identify further business opportunities and anticipate risks
•    Challenges needs, conducts RFI/RFQ, negotiates cost-effective agreements with suppliers that result in delivering the agreed budget and providing a competitive advantage for IDEMIA
•    Negotiates and ensures the effective execution of the contracts
•    Ensures the reporting of the KPIs to the project and to Purchasing management
•    Reports consistent KPIs to the Program and Purchasing teams
•    Ensures IDEMIA Purchasing Policy is implemented with excellence

 

Skills Required

8+ years of experience

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT hardware, including servers, networking equipment, and peripherals.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage contracts.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Tools: Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional Requirements: experience in Purchasing/Procurement (international environment is a plus)

  3. Experience in contract and project management.
  4. Good technical background (IT, support & maintenance or mechanical expertise is a plus)
