QA Engineer

Purpose
Key Missions

Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Execute functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing.

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web and API-based applications.

Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.

Participate in sprint planning, requirement reviews, and daily Agile ceremonies.

Validate REST/SOAP APIs using tools such as Postman or Swagger.

Perform database validation using SQL queries.

Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

Ensure test coverage, quality metrics, and timely delivery of releases.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and best practices.
Profile & Other Information
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 1-3 years of experience in Manual Testing and Test Case Design techniques.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
