Senior Finance Manager

Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Finance Professional to lead accounting, taxation, and compliance while ensuring adherence to statutory laws. The role requires strong India GAAP expertise, deep tax knowledge, and a solid professional network, with preference for experience in a remote shared services environment. As a key partner to leadership, the position provides financial insights, ensures governance, and manages relationships with tax authorities and stakeholders for accurate and compliant finance operations.

Key Missions

•    Lead end-to-end Accounting & Finance operations including month-end closure, reconciliations, reporting, and audits.
•    Ensure full compliance with Indian taxation laws (Direct & Indirect taxes), corporate tax filings, GST, transfer pricing, and other statutory obligations.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, consultants, and external auditors to proactively address complex compliance requirements.
•    Oversee and coordinate with shared services teams for accurate and timely delivery of finance processes.
•    Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for business decision-making.
•    Drive process improvements, internal controls, and compliance frameworks to strengthen governance.
•    Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, Operations, and Global Finance for seamless integration of finance activities.
•    Manage cash forecast accurately through maximizing collection and better planning on vendor payment.
•    Responsible to minimize tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations.
•    Provide internal tax advisory support on business operation matters.
•    Act as the key point of contact and support for our local and regional taxation matters.
•    Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally.
•    Support the annual audit process and collaborate with external auditors.
•    Support the corporate annual budget and forecasts processes.

  • •    Ensure compliance with Group tax policy.
    •    Participate, review, and monitor existing policies, practices, tax reporting, filing, and processes to ensure they work effectively, efficiently, and are compliant with local tax laws and regulations.
    •    Provide support with various internal audits and special tax-related projects.

Profile & Other Information

Core Skills & Competencies

•    Deep expertise in Accounting, Taxation, and Statutory Compliance in India.
•    Strong knowledge of direct tax, indirect tax, GST, transfer pricing and corporate tax matters.
•    Proven track record of managing shared service models in finance.
•    Understanding of payroll processes and related statutory requirements.
•    Excellent stakeholder management and ability to liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.
•    Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
•    High ethical standards, integrity, and strong sense of accountability.
•    Mature, proactive, resourceful, and hands-on with good initiative.
•    Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive.
•    Self-motivated, independent individual who is able to work well with minimal supervision.
•    Fast worker with ability to work well under stress and multi-tasking.
•    Enthusiasm and team player attitude.
•    Appreciation of remote shared services environment.
•    Strong skills and experience with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

 

Academic & Work Experience

•    Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA Finance, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
•    15+ years of experience in Accounting, Tax, and Finance, with at least 35 years in a senior finance leadership role.
•    Prior experience working in MNCs or global organizations with complex tax environments will be an advantage.
•    Strong communication and leadership skills.
