Purpose
The solution architect transforms requirements into design to reach the best in class solution.
Key Missions
- Gathers business and functional requirements from external/internal customers, and translate requirements into technical specifications that are robust, scalable and supportable
- Defines the functional and technical architecture of the system to meet the criteria of performance, budget, quality and risks induced by the customer requirements and contextual constraints of the system operation
- Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and makes recommendations on solutions architecture options
- Serves as technical lead throughout the full solution development lifecycle, end-to-end
- Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
- Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
- Monitors and enforces architecture/technological consistency among all platform components,
- Supports developers on managing technical issues
- Participates to architecture standardization
- Analyzes and Provides design for complex solutions across multiple domains
- Coaches simultaneously several teams of solution Architect
- Influences the organization's technical strategy
Profile & Other Information
- Engineering background, with experience in sofware developement and/or system integration and significant experience in Solution Design for external Customers in fixed-price projects, on complex on-premise systems.
- Experience in both presales phase and project (build) phase
- Good knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, distributed applications, databases, enabling smooth interactions with all stakeholders
- Willingness to travel all over the world (~2-week missions once a quarter on average) to meet with our Customer
- Fast-learner with strong appetite to understand Idemia Public Security business, Customer needs and constraints and drive the change towards our products
- Ability to challenge solutions with a cost-driven mindset, and think out-of-the-box to create competitive technical solution
