Printing Process Engineer

Purpose
Key Missions
The role is part of Corporate Engineering Department of Secure Document, which is developing product and process, ensuring the smooth ramp-up in volume of new products and component. More precisely, the role will be part of printing expertise team which is focusing to transfer a design from design department to a printed product.
Within the supervision of direct team manager, the Printing Process Engineer will be responsible for the following missions:
- Support new customer products introduction in production
- Participate in design review, milestone ensuring graphical design can be processed in production
- Support design file preparation for printing, including the validation of printing layout and step & repeat when needed
- Follow the printing and check all technical criteria are correct
- Support new projects related to printing (2nd source qualification, new printed feature, new technology evaluation, new layout)…
- Consolidate all tests and results under formal report to be shared with stakeholders
The Printing Process Engineer will be in close contact with production team, in particular with printing and prepress workshops, with the Corporate Engineering group, and with Graphical Design team.
The position is entitled to travel to visit the factory in the Netherlands (close to Amsterdam) and some suppliers. Few days every 2nd month to plan.
Main tasks:
- Develop and industrialize simple products under direct supervision
- Prepares and maintains required documentation
- Advise internal customer on projects
Profile & Other Information
What we expect from you?
Know-how:
- Professional education (degree in engineering preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial environment (product industrialization & manufacturing processes preferred)
- Project management skills
- Experience with CAD, DTP, Pre-press, Press, Post-press, JS welcomed
- Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
