Production Support Engineer

Purpose
This role supports the production process, following all standards and procedures established by the Engineering Manager, Department Manager as well as corporate guidelines and is also responsible for running test packages.
A typical day for a Production Support Engineer in this role starts with checking data administration tasks, ensuring that input files from banks are correctly processed. She/he monitors and validates the accuracy of incoming data, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
Throughout the day, she/he configures and sets up machines for production, adjusting embossing positions and chip profiles according to product specifications. Using the system, she/he sets up new customers and products, ensuring that each configuration aligns with the required standards.
She/he collaborates with the business line and production teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and maintain a smooth workflow. Problem-solving and technical precision are key aspects of their daily tasks, ensuring production runs efficiently without disruptions.
Key Missions
As our new Production Support Engineer you will:
- Provides 1st and 2nd line technical and fault support for the production team
- Provides technical advice and support to non-technical or non-production teams
- Creates, manages and maintains machine configuration and job set-ups
- Supports IT teams in the installation of software, software updates, hardware and operating systems for industry machinery and validation of new system software
- Delivers production solutions through design, testing, proving and go-live in control and within the right timing
- Delivers technical and process improvements for production and pre-production systems
- Works closely with the maintenance team to provide support on software and hardware
- Creates and maintains a knowledge base of known support issues and resolutions
- Prepare reports on machine uptime and failure rates.
- Document production issues and maintain a knowledge base of solutions.
- Work independently with moderate supervision and occasional problem-solving.
To succeed in this position, you will need the following:
- English, Czech on fluent level
- Experience in technical support, production support, or a similar role.
- Experience in machine configuration, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Basic technical knowledge, easiness to find herself/himself in IT environment
- Eye to details, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to constantly learn
This position is fully on site with the office address: Ve žlíbku 1800/77, 193 00 PSC-Praha 9, Horni Pocernice.
