Technical Project Manager

Purpose
The Technical Project Leader position will be working within the North America Financial Institutions Business Unit, focusing on implementing new features and capabilities for banks and Fintechs as part of IDEMIA’s card issuance / personalization activity.
Key Missions
- Manage project development from initiation to closure
- Manages technical and non-technical aspects of the project. Gathers requirements, plans, schedules, and ensures objective and scope are clearly defined and approved for each project before commencement
- Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the technical community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
- Key interface between the customer and internal cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Customer Service, Engineers, Programmers, Production, Quality, Warehouse, Manufacturing, etc.). Also, engages board members of the project when escalation is required
- Lead and motivate project team members on a proactive basis
- Provide effective leadership to project resources to ensure timely delivery on commitments/tasks in support of project deliverables
- Produces and maintains a Project Plan that defines project specifications, timelines, and budgets
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and expedites, monitors and tracks progress against planned activities
- Ensures project hand-off and closure occurs, including holding the final post-mortem/lessons learned sessions and leveraging learnings to improve cross-team project practices.
- Negotiates and manages changes and initiates corrective action where necessary
- Disseminates information on any problems or potential delays and resolves any internal issues that arise
- Manages and monitors project risks, reviews and implements the mitigation plan when necessary to ensure smooth execution of a project
Profile & Other Information
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or Engineering a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of project management experiences. Prior experience with Financial Services a plus.
- PMP certification is highly desired
- Green belt/Black belt Six Sigma certification would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Hand-on leaders ready to roll up their sleeves to deliver measurable progress and successes.
- Excellent facilitation skills and ability to drive resolution of issues
- Excellent in Microsoft Project Professional tool
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Fast learner
