Presales Engineer

Purpose
We are looking for a customer-focused Integration Engineer / Pre Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This role combines technical expertise, solution design and customer engagement, supporting the full sales lifecycle from initial customer discussions through to proof of concepts, demonstrations and solution delivery.Working closely with Sales, Product Management, Partners and System Integrators, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers understand how IDEMIA solutions can meet their operational and business requirements.
This role requires previous experience within biometrics, identity management, physical access control or security solutions, together with native or fluent Arabic and strong English communication skills.
Key Missions
- Support the Regional Sales Director during customer meetings and business development activities
- Deliver technical presentations, workshops and demonstrations of IDEMIA solutions
- Answer customer technical questions and articulate IDEMIA’s key differentiators
- Lead technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and business challenges
- Support Proof of Concept (POC) activities from planning through to completion
- Configure and deploy IDEMIA products and solutions for demonstrations and POCs
- Act as the primary technical contact for customers, partners and system integrators during evaluations and POCs
- Define solution architectures and recommend the most suitable products and services to meet customer requirements
- Prepare technical documentation, solution designs and customer presentations
- Work closely with Product Management to communicate customer feedback and market requirements
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends and provide recommendations for product evolution
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Support and Sales teams to resolve technical issues
- Support project handover activities where required
- Provide accurate weekly and monthly activity reporting
- Travel across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region as required
Profile & Other Information
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical, integration, pre-sales or solutions engineering role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience working with biometric technologies, identity management, physical access control or security solutions
- Experience supporting customer demonstrations, technical workshops, proof of concepts (POCs) and solution design activities
- Strong understanding of solution architecture, systems integration principles and enterprise infrastructure environments
- Experience working within government, airport, transportation, public security or critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working collaboratively with customers, partners and system integrators
Additional Information
- This role requires regular travel across Saudi Arabia and may require regional travel when supporting customer engagements, demonstrations and proof of concepts
