Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE) Management 1

Purpose

This role is responsible directing, developing, and implementating all Environmental and Health and Safety related compliance programs to achieve ongoing certifications against standards defined in ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

Key Missions

  • Executes the company�s EHS policy at a local Level, including monitoring, recording and sharing Health and Safety and environmental KPI data
  • Reduces incidents and accidents by developing and implementing a proactive, sound Health and Safety management system that will improve operator awareness and formalize department and managerial safety awareness
  • Organizes, develops and leads the workplace Health and Safety committee according with the local government requirements
  • Ensures incident investigations are effective in the identification of root cause and that corrective and preventative actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Knows and follows all laws or regulations and policies that apply to one's job
  • Ensures a safe working environment for IDEMIA employees, visitors and contractors
  • Maintains, improves and promotes recycling activities
  • Exceeds minimum standards as defined through IDEMIA CSR program published on our intranet network (The Line)
  • Conducts routine risk assessments across all areas of the business (people and process) to ensure overall compliance and identify vulnerabilities
  • Ensures all necessary legal documentation and internal or external policies are displayed as required
  • Partners with third parties to routinely perform (in line with minimum legal requirements) specialist audits and risk assessments to include but not limited to Fire Safety, Working at Height, LOLER (vehicle)*, Audiometry, DSE *(Display Screen Equipment), COSHH*(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), Industrial equipment and follow up on inspections of ventilation and exhaust systems (*) Note: Only applicable in the countries where is required; Ensure that appropriate tools and systems are in place to: Track legal and policy updates; Ensure all scheduled audits are identified and planned, Record accidents and incidents
  • Contributes to new business initiatives and projects as required
  • Works with teams to identify and perceive Health and Safety and environmental risks associated with implementation of new equipment
  • Identifies opportunities to continually improve business performance working with key stakeholders
  • Acts as the organization's representative when liaising with the Health and Safety executive, environment agency and other government or local organizations
  • Works with stakeholders to document, implement and audit improvement actions
  • Manages hazardous waste disposal program including maintaining manifests and documentation required to be in compliance with all relevant local and regional law
  • Investigates and incorporates waste minimization procedures to reduce hazardous waste disposal as they apply to ISO and local regulations
  • Maintains compliance with air and wastewater permit requirements for all relevant local and regional regulations
  • Manages special projects as assigned
  • Holds extensive knowledge in applicable safety and environmental regulations as well as knowledge and experience in developing EHS management systems required

  • CSP, Certified Industrial Hygienist-CIH, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager
