Infrastructure Team Manager

Key Missions

Team Leadership
•    Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of infrastructure, DevOps and DBA engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
•    Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
•    Conduct regular performance evaluations, set clear objectives, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

 

Infrastructure Implementation and Maintenance
•    Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud environments.
•    Ensure that infrastructure configurations adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
•    Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.

 

Collaboration and Communication
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, security, and development teams, to address infrastructure-related requirements and challenges.
•    Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, infrastructure performance, and upcoming initiatives.

 

Infrastructure Planning and Strategy
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop infrastructure strategies aligned with customer requirements.
•    Evaluate emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for improving infrastructure efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
•    Develop and maintain a roadmap for infrastructure projects, prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and resource availability.

Profile & Other Information

•    Able to work in a fast paced & dynamic environment, handling complex incidents with professionalism
•    Conscious about service quality, with an appropriate sense of urgency in fulfilling customer requirements.
•    Possess strong troubleshooting skills and techniques

Experience and background

•    Proven experience 8-10  in infrastructure management, including hands-on experience with networking, server administration, cloud platforms, storage systems and database.
•    Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve common goals.

•    Good knowledge and practical experience in ITIL framework
•    Excellent time management, decision making, prioritization and organization skills
•    Proven ability to mentor and influence others
•    Experience contributing to business process improvement
•    Strong organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks; attention to detail
•    Must be able to work well with others as part of a team
•    Strong verbal/written communication skills

Technical skills

•    Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies, including servers, network, storage and virtualization technologies. 
•    Good knowledge in different OS like Windows, Windows server and Linux (RedHat, Oracle)
•    Hands on skills in Linux scripting and window administration (Active Directory, GPO).
•    Able to configure Network Devices/Appliances and do network connectivity troubleshooting.
•    Proficient in using Vmware VSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V
•    Proficient of VEEAM Backup and Replication
•    Proficient in configuring of SAN Storage.
•    Strong experience in Scripting (Perl, Bash, Power shell, python.)
•    Experience in installation and configuration of system monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus and grafana will be a plus.
•    Strong in network domains (TCP/IP, HTTP) and security (TLS, WSS, PKI) is preferred
•    Produce documents related to installation, testing or operational and administration.
•    Provide training to customer and handover system to maintenance support team.
•    Experience with Ansible/YAML and configuration management tool (SVN, JIRA) will be an added advantage.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure issue. 
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skill, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
