Project Engineer

Purpose
We are looking for an accountable Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that project involves. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This includes handling of logistic and assisting in deployment works.
Key Missions
During all the stages of the deployment phase of our projects, the Deployment project engineer:
- Initial project discussion with Program Mgr, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Vendors on project schedule, requirement and timeline
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering tasks
- Liaise with relevant parties for submission of forms required for site and civil work clearance
- Lead and coordinate site preparation work with Project manager on:
- Data Centers (Rack General Specifications, Power & Data Sockets Requirement, Air-condition sizing, Network)
- Stability Environment (Building & Civil Works, Electrical & Lighting, Network)
- Co-ordinate with respective vendors on the Civil Works, Electrical & Network Wiring, Flooring works to be complete based on schedule or timeline
- LUX Measurement onsite
- Co-ordinate on Hardware Delivery for gates hardware with France or Gate Vendors on the delivery receive locations before sending to site for assemble
- Co-ordinate with sub-con on Gates installation and testing
- Conduct pre and post site inspection to ensure all requirements and works are done properly
- Engineering tasks include performing system and/or devices integration testing, analyse, troubleshooting and draw conclusions to the project team, etc.
- Coordinates the technical deployment task that include hardware, server/workflow installation and workstation.
- Writes procedures, user documentation, operation manual, test procedures and test reports.
- Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Manages vendors involved on the different projects.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor civil work project and vendor team
- Tracks of hardware and software delivery
- Updates system hardware and software configuration files and other project documentation
- Provides support during system trial, ORAT and Go Live.
Profile & Other Information
- With minimum 3 years of working experience, with minimum 1 year in system implementation and technical support; plus, also minimum 1 year of experience on multi-platform installation such as Linux and Windows servers.
- Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting IBM/HP/Dell servers, SAN and PC servers
- Experience in civil work, electrical wiring (SLD) and network port patching is highly desirable
- Knowledgeable of troubleshooting and debugging live software systems.
- Expertise in SOAP UI and Experience in network domains (TCP/IP, HTTP) and security (TLS, WSS, PKI) is preferred.
- Good knowledge in different OS like Windows, Windows server and Linux (RedHat) will be an added advantage
- Experience with Ansible and JIRA will be an added advantage.
- Be curious, versatile, dynamic, rigorous, great autonomy and a team player, as well as a spirit of analysis and synthesis.
Fluent in English, another language a plus, the candidate has good interpersonal skills, with effective communication and he can interact with diverse group: clients, vendors, internal teams.
Autonomous, organized and positive with a high level of self-motivation, he is able to mentor or instruct co-workers to achieve his goals. Solution finder, he/she has an appropriate sense of urgency in fulfilling customer requirements. He has the ability to determine cause of problem on hardware and software portion.
