Purpose

IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a Solution Architect to work on the ‘ABCS’ project which refers to the "Automated Border Control System".

 

IDEMIA, a global leader in augmented identity and biometric solutions, has been a key player in developing and implementing advanced border control systems in Singapore. The Automated Border Control System (ABCS) uses state-of-the-art biometric technologies such as facial recognition, fingerprint scanning, and iris recognition to facilitate faster and more secure immigration clearance.

 

As The Solutions Architect, you will take over from the Pre Sales Solution Architect and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the delivery of comprehensive technical solutions that meet our clients' business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and sales, to ensure the successful delivery of solutions that align with both business goals and technical requirements.

 

Key Missions

As a Solution Architect, here are the key responsibilities:

  • Defines the functional and technical architecture of the system to meet the criteria of performance, budget, quality and risks induced by the customer requirements and contextual constraints of the system operation
  • Performs architecture feasibility analysis (including performance, fault and risk analysis) and makes recommendations on solutions architecture options
  • Serves as technical lead throughout the full solution development lifecycle, end-to-end
  • Develops and documents architecture specifications that serve as the reference for engineering and execution
  • Provides design and validation reviews for other engineers, including feedback on architecture and design issues, as well as integration, performance and scalability
  • Monitors and enforces architecture/technological consistency among all platform components,
  • Supports developers on managing technical issues
  • Participates to architecture standardization
  • Analyzes and Provides design for simple or standard solutions with guidance

 

Profile & Other Information

You will guarantee your success if you have:

 

· Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in a solution architect role in designing and delivering the solution end to end

· Technical Expertise:

  • Software Development knowledge in Java, J2EE, JBOSS, C++
  • IT Infrastructure experience: OS (Windows, Linux, Unix), virtual environments (VMware), network, High Availability
  • Database experience: Oracle solutions (RAC, Dataguard, partitioning, advanced security, vault, …), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL
  • IT Security (PKI, certificate, firewall, …) knowledge
  • Cloud experience will be highly appreciated (AWS, Azure, GCP)

· Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically about client needs and propose innovative solutions.

· Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

 

Please note that for project and security purposes, this role requires either the Singaporean citizenship or the Permanent residency
