Purpose

This role develops the core technical platform, capabilities, and services that efficiently support business processes and data while optimizing cost in close collaboration with the solution or software architect.

Key Missions

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Governance

  • Define, implement, and enforce technical standards and frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality requirements (HSEQ).
  • Provide expert guidance and make final calls on complex technical decisions.
  • Lead by example, mentoring and developing the next generation of engineers.

Infrastructure & Systems

  • Oversee network and system infrastructure (LAN/WAN/SDN, Datacenter).
  • Manage on-prem environments covering multi-vendor networks, systems, and security.
  • Experience in SDN/NFV – OpenStack, Linux, DevOps/DevNet environments.
  • Strong background in Windows/Linux OS administration (patching, scripting).
  • Hands-on with network automationprogramming/scripting (Python, Ansible, Red Hat Tower).
  • Knowledge of data streaming platforms (Spark, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiar with monitoring & logging tools such as Elastic, Grafana, or SolarWinds.

Project & Risk Management

  • Support project teams through all lifecycle phases — from concept to decommissioning.
  • Conduct or oversee technical risk assessments and define mitigation strategies.
  • Validate designs, specifications, and deliverables for technical accuracy and quality.

Stakeholder & Quality Assurance

  • Act as the technical interface between internal teams, external partners, and clients.
  • Provide input to business cases, budgets, and strategic technical initiatives.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure lessons learned are captured and embedded in future work.

Capability Development

  • Support recruitment and capability development within technical teams.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and evolve the organization’s technical knowledge base.

Profile & Other Information

Required Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of technical experience with at least 3 years in a senior/authority role.
  • Strong expertise in network infrastructure, system administration, and automation.
  • Proven experience in technical governanceproject leadership, and compliance management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
