Security Officer

For an international production-driven organization, we are looking for a Security Officer who can step into a critical role with immediate impact. This is a position for someone who brings seniority, structure, and credibility — someone who can safeguard continuity, support the business, and keep security standards at the right level in a highly regulated setting.
This is not a purely operational security position.
This role sits at the intersection of physical security, compliance, audits (ongoing - not only one or twice a year) , process control, and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the site’s security framework, while working closely with both local management and global / corporate teams in a matrix organization. You will lead security-related processes on site, coordinate with internal departments, support audits and certifications, and ensure that security standards are consistently applied and improved.
Because of the current situation in the team, this role requires someone who can step in with confidence, quickly understand the environment, and provide both leadership and stability.
Key Missions
As Security Officer, you will take ownership of the site’s security performance and compliance framework. Your responsibilities include:

- Managing and improving security processes, controls, and reporting;
- Monitoring KPIs, identifying risks, and driving corrective actions;
- Coordinating and leading internal and external security audits;
- Supporting remediation plans and ensuring timely closure of findings;
- Acting as a key contact for security regulators, auditors, and internal stakeholders;
- Managing security incidents, escalations, and follow-up actions;
- Working closely with local and corporate IT teams to align on logical / IT-related security requirements;
- Driving security awareness and training across departments;
- Leading or guiding relevant team members and ensuring day-to-day continuity in the security function
Profile & Other Information
We are looking for a medior level professional who combines strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coordinate, and safeguard standards in a structured environment.
You likely bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business Administration or a comparable field;
- Relevant experience in security, compliance, auditing, risk management, or a related environment;
- Strong understanding of how physical security and IT-related security interact
- The ability to lead processes and teams, even when not all stakeholders report directly to you;
- A structured, decisive, and pragmatic working style;
- High integrity and a strong sense of ownership;
- Excellent communication skills in English;
- Dutch is a strong advantage, but not a must;
- Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can step in fast, take responsibility, and build trust across different levels of the organization.
