Production Supervisor

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role has the production responsibility smart card personalization in the Smithfield bureau across one shift.  The Production Supervisor is hands on role with the main focus being  meeting daily, weekly, monthly production SLA’s, process adherence for IDEMIA and scheme.  In addition, works with customer services to ensure appropriate communications regarding customers products to and from the service centre.

 

The Production Supervisor will oversee the teams ensuring core competencies across all bureau functions are maintained and comply with all issued work instructions. 

 

It requires an experienced production supervisor with a solid understanding of production, a strict focus on SLA achievement required to perform complex production activities. Furthermore, a supervisor that embraces the demands of a busy and dynamic production environment and rise to their best under challenging circumstances.

 

TASKS & CONTRIBUTION TO TARGETS:

  • Directs and oversees the production process of the Service Center (i.e. effective delivery of materials to equipment, machine productivity time, quality control compliance, security adherence).  
  • Adherence and consistent delivery of SLA commitments.
  • Support in maintenance of Amex, Visa and Mastercard certification standards.
  • Enforces policies and procedures consistent with the Global Operations standards.  Includes management of workflows, documentation and reporting to support processes.
  • Ensures production is prioritized as per planner guidance.
  • Works with planner to schedule up and coming projects and volumes.
  • Maintain an incident register and raise and update incident reports for each problem until resolved.
  • Analysis and contribution to strategic planning, complex problems and troubleshooting within the SC
  •  Cost control awareness and application.
  • Management of dispatch section, ensuring maintenance and other contractors supplying services as expected.
  • BCP Planning and execution.
  • OEE measurement and waste control monitoring and reporting.
  • Manufacturing reporting.
  • Work with different teams to deliver on the overall production efficiencies and meeting customers’ requirements.
  • Lean management applications to optimize workflows.
  • Overall staff management of current team of 25 plus temp staff during peak periods.  Includes recruitment, training, development and performance management of all staff employed within the SC

 

METHOD OF ASSESSMENT 1 – KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Prioritisation of customer jobs in bureau.
  • Achieving target OEE on perso machines
  • Meeting SLA’s for all customers, every file  imported is dispatched with in SLA
  • Ensuring work instructions and adhered too including Quality control procedures.

 

METHOD OF ASSESSMENT 2 – PERFORMANCE

  • Performance is assessed informally from time to time during the year and an annual performance review using an internal tool, IDEMIA Talents.
  • Performance is assessed by the Reporting Manager in parallel with feedback from peers

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree, advanced diploma or equivalent.
  • Min 5 years in the following area’s production, lean practices, card industry, manufacturing.
  • Methodical, strict and disciplinal with the job , strong organization skills and attention to detail, in accordance with established direction and standards
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), in English and interpersonal skills, Ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in the group's knowledge of and concern for users' business needs as well as reactive and sensitive to industrial production priorities.
  • Good organizational skills
