Purpose

QA Engineer manages testing activities of products/solutions to ensure that the quality is compliant with standards and to meet customer requirements.

Key Missions

Responsibilities

  • Develop, prepare and execute test plans, procedures and schedules individually and with Integration team.
  • Plan and create testing automation framework for regression and performance test
  • Plan, conduct and report on manual and semi-automated testing, including writing and updating test cases.
  • Plan automated tests where possible in repeatable test cases.
  • Report incidents during test execution and track them to closure.
  • Perform regression and ad-hoc testing depending on changes.
  • Produce and review requirement coverage in test cases.
  • Contribute to and validate documentation as per project deliveries (configuration, user guides, etc.).

 

Requirements

  • Experience in testing end-to-end systems and analyzing system logs.
  • Competent with updating environment configuration values e.g. logstash or bespoke settings to manipulate test conditions.
  • Knowledge of testing and monitoring tools (SoapUI, Postman, bespoke REST tools etc.).
  • Knowledge of test management tools (Jira, Jira Xray Testlink, etc.).
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks (agile, waterfall, etc.).
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc.) and databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra etc.).Basic knowledge in programming languages (Python, Java, etc.).
  • Experience in automation principles, setup, design and deployment.
  • English both written and oral.
  • Any level of ISTQB Certification is a plus.

Requirements applicable to role

  • UK HO SC Clearance
  • UK NPPV3 Clearance preferable
  • Preference to have experience in delivering to UK Government
  • Full UK Driving License

 

Work Location

  • Winnersh Triangle: Hybrid / Office based roles
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
  • Ability to attend customer meetings/workshop sessions on-site
